Crosspool Tavern review by David Hollis

13/12/2007

One barman and one waitress only, who was very helpful when not busy.

Place was full of used plates not cleaned away on arrival.

After ordering, one of the main courses arrived before any of the starters, when the first starter arrived (Spicy Chicken) its was 15 mins later when the soup arrived cold??

This was then micro waved with a nice crust round the edge.

The maincourse just continued in the manner, but to be fair the Turkey was very nice, no Yorkshire puddings, no stuffing, no boiled potatoes, very old veg and very old roast potatoes.

The comments of Refurbishing in the kitchen do hold up if you saw the general mess and the Chef’s attitude

Just give it a miss, not worth visiting for a drink
